The intent of this regulation is to provide environmental erosion protection and buffer for water quality protection for rural Douglas County.

A setback area equal to three times the channel depth plus 50 feet from the top of the bank (both sides of channel) shall be required for any above or below ground structure exclusive of bank stabilization structures, poles or sign structures adjacent to any named creek.

Grading, stockpiling, and other construction activities are not allowed within the setback area. The setback area must be protected with adequate erosion and sediment controls or other Best Management Practices, (BMPs).
